Choosing Your Wedding Vendors: Go With Your Gut

Let’s be real — planning a wedding can sometimes feel like you’re ticking boxes, juggling spreadsheets, and trying to remember the difference between champagne blush and dusty rose (no idea, by the way).
But when it comes to choosing your vendors — the people who’ll help bring your day to life — here’s my best advice:
Find the ones who just get you.
The ones who make you feel seen. Heard. Not like a “package” or a number or just another Saturday booking in their calendar. But like two people in love, creating something beautiful and personal and completely yours.
You’ll know when you’ve found them. There’s a spark. They’ll ask the right questions. They’ll listen. They’ll care. They won’t push you into trends or timelines that don’t feel like you.
And most importantly — they’ll make you feel relaxed.
Because when your photographer feels like a mate, when your florist gets giddy about your love story, when your celebrant makes you feel like you’re in safe hands (hi 👋) — that’s when the magic happens.
That’s when the planning feels easy, fun, and joyfully you.
So here’s your permission slip to trust your gut.
Not the budget spreadsheet. Not the glossy Instagram feed. Not your cousin’s opinion.
If they light you up, if they bring calm to the chaos, if you leave a meeting feeling more excited, not overwhelmed — they’re your people.
And when you’ve got the right people around you, you don’t just plan a beautiful wedding. You actually enjoy the ride.
Because that’s what it should feel like — not pressure and perfection, but connection and celebration.
And if you're still searching for one of those "gets-you" kind of vendors — I’d love to chat. 🧡
